Ah…spring! Throughout Shanghai, magnolias and jasmine start to blossom. The thawing snow fills rivers cutting through the Tibetan Plateau. And in Beijing, the skies go from gray to blue. This is less due to coal plants shutting winter operations and more because the country’s leaders hold their annual legislative session this month.
These sessions are typically where the public gets a sense of China’s direction for the coming year. Not surprisingly, the focus continues to be on building a more inclusive, sustainable society.
